PUBG Mobile Global Championship Season Zero Finals Analysis Using R.
Hello, everybody. In this post, I will show you about PUBG Mobile Global Championship Season Zero Finals analysis using R. This post is a continuation of the previous post. If previously it was the superweekend phase, then this is the main main event.
This data collected from Liquipedia page. I do copy-paste page to excell table (on January 29, 2021) and analysis in R using readxl, tidyverse, gghighlight and ggthemer package.
Loading library, and Prepare Data.
The data that I have is in the form of excell and only consists of 1 sheet only. So, I don’t need the rio library like the previous post, because the previous post consisted of many sheets.
The data above is not ready to be analyzed, because the data types are not suitable, there are also missing values and untidy column names. So, I need to clean up and wrangle into the table structure.
The data above is ready for analysis. I added a new column, namely total points (kill + placement point).
Visualize.
In this section, I transform the data into a graph/plot to make easier to understand.
From the line chart above, showing the point race between top four teams in PMGC Season 0 Finals. NOVA from China become the champion in this tournament. Following by Four Angry Men (4AM) also from China become the runner-up with a very small point difference.
From the scatterplot above, NOVA, ZEUS and Four Angry Men (4AM) have a similar average kill point per round.
From the bar chart above, NOVA is the one only who reach more than 300 point in PMGC Season 0 Finals.
From the boxplot above, ZEUS, NOVA and Four Angry Men (4AM) has higher median kill point in PMGC Season 0 Finals. But, there is only 3 team who have more than 15 kill point, they are ZEUS, NOVA and PW88.
From the boxplot above, all team has WWCD but Alpha 7 (A7) not.
From the chart above, mostly team who got much WWCD has top placement rank. There is no one team with back to back WWCD.
From the barchart above, Four Angry Men (4AM) has most WWCD than other team. They has 17,24 % WWCD rate.
From the heatmap above, showing total point each round and team. PW88 has higher total point all over round with 33 point. Following by NOVA with 32 point.
Summary.
- NOVA from China become Champion in this World Class Tournament. Following by Four Angry Men as runner-up.
- Alpha 7 never got WWCD in 29 round got position 9/16.
- PW88 has higher total point all over round with 33 point. Following by NOVA with 32 point.
- Four Angry Men (4AM) has most WWCD with 17,24 % WWCD rate.
So, are Chinnese PUGM is the best PUGM in the world right now? (Jan, 2021)
